Welcome to Waywardly Wayward.

Why the name?

The short answer

I am a follower of Jesus Christ as the only way of salvation, and I constantly struggle against disobediently going my own way. I am waywardly Wayward.

The longer answer

According to God’s perfect standard we all act waywardly. We stray off course. We willfully turn away and obstinately disobey Him. (Romans 3:10-12, 23).

Jesus Christ declared “I am the way,” the one and only way to God and reconciliation with God. Early Christians were called followers of the Way. They were capital-W Wayward, as are today’s followers of the one and only Way. (Jn 14:6; Ac 9:2; 19:9, 23; 22:4; 24:14, 22)

Christians are in a state of constant conflict. The Spirit of God compels them to follow and obey Jesus. Yet they also are under constant pressure from their sinful nature to go off course and disobey. They are waywardly Wayward. (Romans 7:18-19; Galatians 5:17)

I am waywardly Wayward.
